Maine road



- the home of Manchester city F.C. between 1923 and 2003
- it was built in 1923
- it was closed in 2003
- and it was demolished in 2004
- the original architect was a man of the name Charles Swain
- the record standing attendance is 84,569 in 1934
- Maine road had a famously large pitch
- the stadium was originally built at a cost of £100,000
- it had a seated capacity of 35,150 people
- replaced by the Etihad stadium
