-it was originally designed by a architect called Archibald Leitch who also designed anfield, Stamford bridge, old Trafford, villa park and many others.
-at closure the capacity was 38,419 people
-it saw 13 top division titles including when arsenal went an entire season undefeated in 2004
-in 2006 it was demolished to be redeveloped as housing
-the final game was played on may the 7th 2006
-it has since been replaced by the emirates stadium
