- between 1884 and 1892 it was the home of liverpools local
  rivals everton before they moved to goodison park
- since 1892 it has been the historic home of Liverpool F.C.
- it was designed by a man named Archibald Leitch who also
  designed highbury
- anfield has a seated capacity of 45,276 people
- the record standing attendance is 61,905 for Liverpool against
  Wolverhampton wanderers in 1952
- anfield is famous for the unique atmosphere particularly at the
  kop end of the stadium
- there have been several plans to replace anfield with a more
  modern and larger venue however they have all fallen through
- liverpools current owner John W. Henry is planning to expand
  the stadium instead
- anfield has seen 18 league titles so far but no premier league
  titles to date
- there is also 7 F.A. cups 8 league cups 5 champions leagues
  and 3 Europa leagues
