goodison park



- goodison park has been the home to everton F.C. since  1892
- it was completed in 1892 at a cost of £3,000
- the ground has a seated capacity of 40,167
- the first ever match played at goodison park was on September 3rd 1892
  when everton played Bolton wanderers which ended in a 2-2 draw
- in 1940 goodison park was hit by bombs dropped by the Germans
- the four stands are named the park road stand, the goodison road stand,
  gwladys stand, and bullens road.
- before goodison park everton played at anfield
- the most goals ever scored in a competitive match is twelve in a game
  between everton and Sheffield Wednesday the game finished 9-3
