- the Britannia stadium has been the home of stoke city
  football club since 1997
- it was built in 1997 ant a cost of just £14,700,000
- it has a seated capacity of 27,740 seats
- there are currently plans to expand the Britannia to a 30,000
  seater stadium
- it replaced stokes old stadium called the Victoria ground
- the record attendance at the Britannia is 28,218 which
  exceeded the original capacity this record was set in 2002
  when stoke played Everton in 2002

  since 2001
- it was built in 2001 at a cost of more than £35,000,000
- the stadium has a seated capacity of 32,689
- the record attendance is 32,363 it was set in 2012 when
  Southampton played Coventry city F.C.
- it was formerly known as the friends provident stadium
- there are currently plans to expand St Mary's to a 50,000
  seater stadium
- the record lowest attendance is 13,257 when Southampton
  played Sheffield united

- it has also been the home of rugby team London Irish
  since the year 2000
- it was named after long serving reading chairman sir john
  madejski
- the facilities include a 4 star hotel
- the seated capacity of the stadium is 24,161
- plans for the stadium were originally laid down in 1995
- the record attendance is 24,184 people exceeding the grounds

- then expanded in 1998

- the stadium was designed by TTH architects
- it was used as a football venue for the 2012 Olympic games
- it is the third largest premier league stadium in England
- the grounds record attendance is 68,386 in 1930 when
   Newcastle hosted Chelsea

- Old Trafford is the home of European giants Manchester united

- the original stadium was designed by Archibald leitch who also
  designed anfield, Highbury, and Stamford bridge
- the record attendance is 76,962 people in a game in 1939 when
  Manchester united played host Wolverhampton wanderers
- it has seen 18 1st division titles so far in its lifespan.

the Etihad stadium



- the Etihad was initially opened in 2002 as an athletics stadium
- Manchester city started playing there in 2003 as a successor to
  Maine road
- it is currently owned by the Manchester city council
- the stadium was designed by arup architects and kss designes
- it has a seated capacity of 47,805
- the record seated attendance is 47,435 in 2012 when Manchester
  city played queens park rangers
- the stadium has also hosted athletics and music concerts
- it saw its first premier league trophy in 2012 when Manchester
  city won the title in the last seconds of the season

- and it was demolished in 2004
- the original architect was a man of the name Charles Swain

- Maine road had a famously large pitch

- it had a seated capacity of 35,150 people
- replaced by the Etihad stadium
